Learning to lead belay is much more complicated than it initially appears because there are more elements involved than in top roping. This clinic is designed for climbers with belay experience who want to belay a lead climber. Learn the fine art of catching falls and the many details involved in lead rope management. Participants will learn to recognize many of the potential hazard problems in lead climbing. The clinic culminates in belaying for a few lead falls.
Prerequisite: must have passed Pacific Edge's belay test.
